"Chillin"

14"x11" Oil on Canvas SOLD

This painting is based on a photograph that I took at a wild bird sanctuary. I took the picture of this eagle while trying to stick my camera lense through the chainlink fencing without disturbing the birds.

I have to admit, I'm fascinated by eagles but I'm probably not as "in to" them as some....most people who know me, know that horses are "my thing". With that said, I really enjoyed watching the eagles walk around and with that "lumbering" walk they have and then watching them perching on the logs in their cages. Seeing them close up like that, I was rather intimidated. They really are massive birds and just look so regal and powerful.
