"Ready To Ride"

This painting is based on a photograph that I took of my nephew, Gavin. He is my very own little cowboy and any time he gets ready to ride, he goes all out. He has to have his hat, chaps, boots, "George" jeans, spurs, and sometimes his vest on. What he rides varies from a ride with me on my old mare, to a stick horse, my old spring, "bouncy" horse or even a "make believe" bull made out of a pillow with a belt cinched around it. You can always count on the ride to be entertaining no matter what mount he's on. Heck, just seeing him in his "getup" is entertaining enough. He is just too adorable with that dark hair, dark eyes, that grin, and all of those freckles. Of course, I'm a little biased...ha ha.
